LecturerSteven K. Easton, CPM, is the founder and sole owner of Easton Realty, a full-service real estate company in St. Petersburg, Florida. He began his real estate career in single-family brokerage and has since been involved in the management of multifamily housing, condominiums, and retail centers. He currently specializes in commercial brokerage and management. Mr. Easton also works in construction and building.Mr. Easton is a member of the IREM faculty IREM and has taught 'Introduction to Real Estate Management,' 'Introduction to Apartment Management', 'Marketing and Management of Residential Property,' 'Managing Real Estate as an Investment', and 'Problem-Solving and Decision-Making for Property Managers' courses. He also facilitates advanced level courses and the management plan seminar. Mr. Easton has served IREM at the national level on the continuing and general education committee, faculty committee, CPM membership qualification courses committee, and education policy committee. He is a past course board director of the 400 and 200 series courses. He has served on the management plan committee, the editorial review board, courses 400 and 301 rewrite committees, and was past chairman of the chapter course board. He is also a management plan grader and a past regional vice president for Region 4 in Florida and Georgia. He has been actively involved in the Florida West Coast Chapter of IREM and has held most of its offices. He served as its president in 1985 and has received the Manager of the Year Award. He has been active in the St. Petersburg Board of REALTORS® (serving in a number of positions) and the Sarasota Board of Realtors. He is also an active California real estate broker. He holds the professional designations of CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) and GRI® (Graduate, REALTORS® Institute). He has also taught for the Florida Association of REALTORS®. |
